What the status labels mean

Playable (demoed) — the developer has shown actual gameplay with working input and audio. Performance may still be rough.
Boots — the game reaches the title screen or gameplay and controller input registers, but no usable performance footage has been published.
Boots (reported) — credible third-party footage/reports, not the developer's own demo.
In testing — unverified — seen in the launcher's library UI or mentioned in builds, with no confirmed boot or gameplay.

Two hard blockers: Developer Mode caps foreground apps at 5GB of memory (retail Series X games use ~13.5GB), and PS5X must translate PS5 graphics instructions through a DirectX 12 layer that is still being adapted. That is why 2D and lighter titles are tested before big current-gen games.
